These two brothers came to America from India. Apu and Babu both wanted to like conventional Americans in the worst way.
They made a bet that each would be more American than the other. They agreed that in one year their cousin would decide who was more American.
One year later, they convened. Their cousin asked Apu why he was more American than his brother. Apu said, "I am more American because I eat only American food. I know all about baseball and the NFL. I love American TV and watch all episodes of American Idol. I am a yankee doodle dandy!"
"Okay," said the cousin, "why are you more American, Babu?
Babu replied, "More American than this friggin' dot head? Are you kidding me"?
