Mobil 1 5w40 Euro

I don't believe any Mobil oil carries BMW's spec, the ESP 5W30 carries MB 229.52 but not LL-04 which seems unusual to me, I guess either Mobil doesn't find it important enough to pay to carry the BMW approval or there's some sort of rift between Mobil and BMW.
My guess is that it's because M1 uses esters in their products and consequently they won't pass the tougher oxidation limits found in the 2018 update.

Funny - this post (or one of the M1 5W40 posts) was just linked on the MK7 Golf/R/GTI page over on Facebook...hahahahaah. LOVE IT!

Someone as trying to ascertain the difference in the FSx2 vs. FS bottles.

Looks line M1 price has gone up about $3.

I think that FUCHS is supplier now.
Hmm, missed that news. If Petronas is still F1 sponsor, probably it is supplying oils to regular cars.
Fuchs might be supplying some stuff. It is largest German industrial lubricant manufacturer and they acquired Pentosin that was oldest lubricant supplier to pretty much all German automotive manufacturers.
