Ok so i picked up an old Toro Wheelhorse and the shifting was a bit stiff and i really did not want to pull out the transaxle . I suspect after about 35 years the Bentanite is probably pretty well packed into the corners. So i added a bit of #00 grease just to make sure the gears and shifter are well lubricated? and that helped a lot. it's much more fluid feeling now.
I honestly don't plan on using this mower very much or very long but it would be nice if it lasted 5 years . But my question is..
Will the #00 accelerate hardening of the Bentonite? And if so how quickly does that happen?
