Per Bob Pockrass, NASACR is shooting for a 2:45 anthem. Drivers are on pit road, cars are being uncovered and generators being removed.
Coming up on the 25th anniversary of the practice wreck that nearly killed Ernie Irvan at Michigan.
Anthems and Invocation done. Command in 5 minutes.
Rain is picking up, they are bring the cars back down pit lane and having the caution car stop them before the start/finish line.
Still drying the track. Sunset is supposed to be around 2040 local time so they still have time to try and get the race in. I will be back in a bit.
I'm bummed. That is 2PM here and I will be running around at work. Thankfully I have 2 monitors so I can keep the race on one of them.
Race is on FS1 in the US and TSN2 in Canada. Coverage is scheduled to start at 5PM Eastern. There will be a competition caution on lap 20. Teams were not allowed to change tires or add fuel, but are allowed to hook up generators and heat fluids.
Green flag!! Decent crowd for a postponed Monday race.
