That is what I had heard about those BFGs too. I considered them for the 2013 equinox. Ended up going with Pirelli's The Pirelli AS plus 2 or something like that (10 models with similar names)

I owe a lot to the company I retired from and I give them my business, what little of it there is. So I don't have an opinion about brands much other than what I stated in my webpage on tire brands.

I had that happen to one of my tires (a less expensive brand) but it had maybe ten or fifteen thousand miles. It had to be replaced.

I think they are updating line up. KO3 is coming in May 2025, so hopefully they addressed that.

What causes this? I am sure that I did not hit a Pothole, the Tires only have 3000 miles on them.

I’ve see the same thing on many Firestone tires. It’s a manufacturing defect. The ply material is too short.

Some tires have a slight dent in the sidewall where the plies overlap. I've never seen this cause an issue. A bulge is different though

Up-date; Michelin took care of it, I actually had two Tires with the problem! Full-Replacement was Honored.
