Magnetic sockets?

Interesting, though not $81 worthy.

These though seem interesting even if more expensive:

Sunex 1825 1/4-Inch Drive Universal Magnetic Impact Socket Set, Metric, 12-Point, Cr-Mo, 5mm - 15mm, 11-Piece https://a.co/d/aHaU7F3

Those look to be worth trying.

I use a 10 and 8 snap on 1/4 magnetic deep daily. Best ones I have found. The GP and matco are ok. It’s one of those “there is a difference” snap on scenarios. Just an intangible better experience https://shop.snapon.com/product/Dee...ank-Drive-Deep-Magnetic-Power-Socket/MGMMS10A

Yeah 43 for one eek

Haven’t looked into snap on magnetic universals but I’m sure they would cost a fortune if available

I guess I've never really looked at these. They call it a deep but the magnet looks to be right there near the socket opening. So, what's the purpose of the longer body?

I epoxied a rare earth magnet on the end of a 3" extension. When I need to hold a bolt for a long reach, I add that extension and it holds well.

I have one set of napa brand 1/4" magnetic impact sockets and I have to say they are quite valuable when needed. I think the set goes to 13mm and 9/16. Had them probably 15 years

They're on sale for $3.99 for the 9 piece set this weekend. Both SAE and metric, just print the coupon.

you cant have too many tools especially good ones if your a tradesman + back yard mechanics like me buy as needed!!! $$$$ permitting!

Or you could spend $10 on a “small tool magnetized/demagnetizer” on Amazon. They have good reviews. I use a big magnet from a 1960 turn-table to rub and magnetize my tools.
