^^Substitute "strawberry shoe laces" (a candy) for the pasta.

REAL THING: A friend worked for a toy photographer. One toy was a train which followed some kind of string you laid on the floor.
I never saw the toy so I can't tell you what the "string track" was made of.
However, it didn't photograph well. Remember, they were shooting pictures for a catalogue.

My friend went out and got "strawberry shoe laces", wet them so they'd glisten more and used them as the track.
