Bullseye oxi moron.
Personally I would never run past 10k.
Not due to oil,but the oil filter quality/ limitations.
Cheap materials, filtering capabilities.
A lot of oil filters are not built for that type of use.

Why do you come to a site sponsored by Shell?
Very decent people work for energy companies ... check with major charities

I don’t see an ethics issue. Mobil is saying “you CAN if you WANT” but they are not trying to induce anyone to violate OEM instructions. If I were out of warranty I would not “fear the year.”

It isn't any more or less ethical than marketing a 3000-mile OCI

Was thinking the same thing today after watching the young guy at Walmart try to get a guy to dump PP because it was 3 months old at 4K …

Because it says in the fine print to "follow OEM recommended intervals during warranty period" or something along those lines. It also preys on gullible individuals that don't know squat about oil, but, that's their problem for not doing research is the way I see it! It's 2018, and with the world of knowledge literally at our fingertips, there's no reason people shouldn't be able to figure almost anything out.

Guy just posted 17k on Mobil 1 AFE … that’s not EP or AP …

Warranty … Warranty … Warranty … what warranty?

By saying the ethics of oil companies.
Was meaning how the oil companies behaved after tragic accidents.
Oil company upper management.
Never mentioned the employees.
Exxon/Mobil The Valdez Oil Spill.
BP/Castrol Deepwater Oil rig.
Look how ethically the companies reacted.
Do you think the company would honor a warranty claim on $30 - $50 5 qt jug of oil ?

As far as the site being sponsored by Shell.
That doesn't bother me at all.
I thought the site was being sponsored by Auto RX
