This is my first post here, i count help and be helped for keeping up the performance of our machines !
My name is André, im from Portugal and i bought almost a year a Mitsubishi Colt 1.8GTi from 1993.
In fact, it was a 1.6 GLXi but he suffered a complete swap engine. Now with the 4g93 DOHC he has 140horsepower. I bought it knowing all this situation.
When i bought it, it was in pretty bad state. I already invested there many Euros, but... he is a really special car. He reach 8000RPM stock. He has new black leather seats, 3 manometers ( oil temp. ; oil pressure ; ratio air/fuel ), Momo steering wheel,i just put the set of Yokohama Parada tyres + legalized 15 inches wheels + rear disc brakes ( ABS from Lancer included ) + K&N air filter + oil catch tank + D1 Spec Oil cap... and many maintenance such as new radiator, thermostate, 50% antifreeze Motul and many many more things.
Recently i just invested around 1000euros in repair the gearbox ( i bought the car with this damage ) and i decided put this oil ( please give your opinion ) : Motylgear 75W90.
Now... i just will change the engine oil... but i need help to decide. I drive this car daily, but sometimes a push a bit hard for it. Nothing to damage or too hardcore... but sometimes i do it. He currently have Cepsa 10W40 oil... but i want a sporty oil that protects and in some way... to increase the power of car, without oil comsumption.
I want the best, no matter what i have to pay !
Later maybe i post some photo of my machine !
