Corp America still has control and its still a employers market. Contract jobs are tough and the client can make you do anything they want and fire you for not doing it. Alot of lies and [censored]! We need better labor laws!

Our current job atmosphere is horrible for employees...employers can pretty much do whatever they want because they know if an employee won't do things their way, there's an endless number of people looking for work who will...

That pay stinks..considering how much you will be doing.
I wonder what the chances for advancement are, I bet not great.
So many marginal jobs today....

You must be great at parties. $50k a year is quite a healthy salary.

I don't mix business with pleasure.

If you take into account all taxes it is more like mid 40k.

Also considering you will be doing the work of at least two people, it still stinks.

So where is your job posting then? Give a solution rather than complain.

That poor excuse for a job certainly isn't any better a solution than my complaint. That makes it even.

I don't buy into the "shut your mouth and take it" mentality, even if I'm making a complaint.

Earning potential is different in different parts of the country. Usually the salaries are higher in the more "advanced" areas of the country and less in other states.

While it might not be "advanced" so to speak, Palm Coast, FL is not a cheap place to live either.

That's why again I say that pay, taking all things into consideration, stinks. I wouldn't doubt those so called jobs don't show up as available every three or four months..because the fools that take it soon realize it isn't worth the trouble they went to applying for it.

I'm not the least bit sorry I don't work anymore. The workplace environment has changed drastically over the past several decades and solely for the worse. Only the top executives do well and do so at the expense of every employee beneath themselves.

Enjoy your retirement party boy.

Also, enjoy your opinion receiving diminishing importance along that timeline.

Actually my view is increasing in importance and value because I have the experience, and have dealt first hand with plenty of situations, from the 1970's until last year. What I have noticed is how many folks that once dismissed and even ridiculed my view now admit it was right.

Just because one isn't afraid to admit the ugly truth doesn't mean they are miserable. I'm far from being miserable, although I do have the most sympathy for those that have to suffer the wrath of fools, especially in the workplace.

Good to know that, I hope you do so even in the workplace with the necessary savvy of course.
