What is toyota going to check??

They dont even know what the heck the problem is??

THe Feds have forced Toyota to stop selling the impacted models until they know what the correction is. At this time they dont!

What oil are you planning on putting in it?

Like others have said, be careful with the whole 'gas pedal' thing. Maybe have it checked before you go......

I think you all are over-reacting... just a bit. Yeah, get it checked, but do it when you have the time. What I mean is, there are millions of these cars on the road already, and it's not like they're all going ballistic on the driver. As long as you have all your senses about you, pay attention to what you're doing... it's not something to FREAK OUT over...

If you're going to waste a day at the dealer, wait until a day when you just need a break. We all have too few days left to spend them with the magazines in the waiting room at a dealer.

The FEDs, the Feds... wouldn't you be shocked to see the Feds try to intimidate the world's largest automaker now that they own it's largest competitor? I'm not saying that the problem isn't real, but where's the evidence? We hadn't seen anything abnormal and now the Feds have shut down Toyota?

To me, it smells...........

When we all think things never can happen to us then the snake bites us in the you know what.

I'd give them more credit if the US government hadn't told them to.

Transportation Secretary Ray LaHood told... them to."

no

After the Firestone Tire fiasco with Ford, the laws were change and now legendary Toyota ;0 is the first OEM to have a major problem where there is documentation which has resulted in the Feds shutting down their sales.

Sorry but if this was Big 3 problem all the Toyota kool aid drinkers, Consumer Reports, Edmunds, Communist NY Times and all the other anti american moonbats would be bashing away.

The evidence is 6' under....Dig into it and you'll see how silly your conspiracy theory really is.

Conspiracy?!?! What?? The US Gov't didn't do this to them. Kamikaze Motor Corp. did it to itself!

Uhm....Ok. I think that's already been covered, but thanks for heads up.

I hope when a recall comes out that you get it repaired, I mean, why wouldn't you get a FREE repair to provide piece of mind that your car isn't gonna take you on a wild road trip?

I agree. Yes, the problem has occurred and yes people have died from it, but the chances of it occurring are so slim that I would not be concerned. I really think the problem is being blown way out of proportion.
