How to store filters with no box?

I received a few ACDelco filters from Rockauto with no boxes. I always keep my filters in the garage on a shelf, but in boxes. I know the boxes don’t do much, but they keep the dust off at least. Right now I just have them open side down on the shelf to keep them clean inside. Anything I should do or am I just overthinking it?

Use a zip lock bag .

I store my filters inside in a closet.
I buy from RA and sometimes have them for years before I get to use them.
Too humid in Florida, they may rust

Saran wrap the end and back on the shelf. A rubber band over the wrap if you like overkill

I often store rarely used items in ziplock bags with a desiccant cartridge enclose. I store my bottles of open brake fluid in the same manner.

Youre going to need to go ahead a vacuum seal those into individual bags or else theyll go bad and youve wasted your money

Wipe a little bit of oil on the gasket and then seal with Saran Wrap. A poor man’s version of Denso.

Some plastic wrap and cellophane tape will keep the moisture out.

You’re overthinking it. Throw it in an Amazon box or something and close it up. A cardboard box is a cardboard box.

I store my oil filters in vacuum seal bag. Keeps moisture and dust out.

I have a large plastic storage box with a tight fitting lid with a label that says “ filters”. Inside are oil filters, and cabin filters for the vehicles, air filters for the lawn mower, and particulate filters for the shop vacs.

I use a disposable glove and fit the open end into it for filters without a box.
