How reliable is the 3.0L V6 vs the 2.2L 4 cylinders in the 1997-2001 Camrys?

Have you looked for Avalons or Lexus ES300’s in your area yet?

Low volume cars, most people don’t know about them so they sit for sale longer, and prices drop too since less interest.
Ehh I'm kind of trying to stay away from the V6 cars.

I had a 2000 Solara (a Camry coupe) with a V6 and 5MT. I knew about the sludging issue and changed the oil a lot using synthetic. Great car, good gas mileage too. Gave it to my daughter when she needed a better car. Neither of us had any problems with it.

My brother had the prior edition Camry with a V6. His sludged before the sludging issue became generally known.

Found this gem. 81k miles.. asking 4k. ABS light is on

Now only if I was in a rush I'd buy it.

oOOOoo a Gallery series with a v6!

"...not much changed for the 2001 Toyota Camry. The only update was the inclusion of the Gallery Series for the LE, which included features like two-tone paint and seat fabric, a leather-wrapped steering wheel and shift knob, chrome accents and special badging."

Too bad the british racing green was snapped up

I like it but I'm in no hurry.

Update: That's kbb on the car.

$4k is really over what I want to spend on a "beater"

Although they may be slow, you just can’t kill a 2.2 I-4 Camry. They will just go forever. My BIL tried to kill one in a demo derby, the body folded up around the engine over 3 rounds, but it still ran fine.
