They don't.
Only the Toyota 0W-20 grade contains high moly levels.

To repeat there are no high moly dino's and only a hand full of syn's that contain it in high doses.

The high moly in Honda 0-20 syn is 1065 in the Toyota I think it is 1200 now that is high moly. So dino really does not measure up with 127 Moly. But I think why do they need such a high moly content with the 0-20 syn oil???? What is the need for so much moly. This stuff is not cheap why so much???????

Does the Maxlife branded oil in the red jug that says API SN on the back not have any moly? How much does it differ from whatever it was before the new specification in the circle?

Also, what is the balance between too much moly and not enough moly? Or do you even need moly in an oil? What is the deal with this stuff?

Was it Formula Shell SM or SN with more Moly? I think they may have stayed consistent, and PYB was the product to get a boost of Moly into API SN > SM.

FWIW, I wouldn't use a HM oil in an engine less than 50,000 miles. That's just me, there are other viable options. I'd run Formula Shell for a 5,000 mile run or two, and then switch to your oil of choice(if you are sticking with one) afterward.

Because it takes at least 800 ppm to get the maximum effect in lowering the oil's coefficient of friction. Small amounts of moly in the 100 ppm range is primarily for AW purposes.

Advanced Auto, BJ's, and Autozone.

The recent U.O.A. with BLACKSTONE for the 2010 Yaris returned 219 for MOLY with the Pennzoil Y.B. 5w30 (S.N./GF-5). 2 Previous fills were Shell conventional 5w30 (S.M./GF-4). The SHELL conventional 5w30 S.M/GF-4 shows 226 for the test results of 5w30 conventional oils at P.Q.I.A. ( Petroleum Quality Institute of America ), found here http://www.pqiamerica.com/testresults3a.html . Shows PENNZOIL Y.B. S.M./GF-4 and other major oil manufacturers . So , it looks as if the MOLY content for the new PENNZOIL Y.B. 5w30 (S.M./GF-5) must be about same as the SHELL conventional 5w30 that's S.M./GF-4 . So , no to little difference in the MOLY content for the SM/GF-4 or the SN/GF-5 in the SHELL conventional or Y.B..
