I made the switch to HiFlo after calling their U.S. Based office, spoke with a technical advisor who was very informative on the RC's filtering performance, which was excellent.
 
Also, the RC product has an upgraded filtering material which enables it to capture some 5 micron particles.

Interesting, I spoke with a K&N rep at the Long Beach motorcycle show, he advised that their filter captures about 99% of particles 20 microns and above. He further said their engineers are not concerned with 5 micron particles, which if i heard him correctly, are the size of a red blood cell.

Every oil filter captures "some" 5μ particles. The question is, at what parentage does it capture 5μ particles.
 
Yes, I realize this thread is 1 1/2 years old. The RC version is very nice and the one to look at if comparing to HD. Use it for my cammed 2011 103. Can be found for ~$10 shipped right now.
