I've lived in Germany twice, Korea, Panama and have spent time in dozens of other countries. While I did try to get into the culture of the places I lived, some of the food in some places was a little difficult to stomach. Korea was the most difficult for me...I used to go out with Korean officers and their families and hit the Soju first just because I knew it was going to be rough for me to throw down some of their interesting fare.
But in Germany, there was nothing better than a Bratwurst w/brochen and pommes frites after a night of pints.
I'm sure if I went to China and had a few drinks, I'd be tempted to try some of those yummy cardboard, fat-enhanced dumplings that people have been raving about lately.
