Has anyone seen or tried Goodyear Ultra Grip Ice?

I'm not a Goodyear fan by any stretch of the imagination; I call them "Good for a year". I haven't run the Ultra Grip Ice, but I do run the Ultra Grip snows on my patrol car and they are absolutely fantastic, so my experience is different than Rand's, but they are the speed rated version if that makes a difference. That's probably not much help maybe, but that would be enough for me to give them a try if I were looking for a "ice" tire. The Ultra Snows are very grippy and move water well for no hydroplaning. I actually run them all year long on my AWD Explorer Interceptor. For a soft winter snow tire, they actually last for about 30k; and that is with some pretty spirited driving.

ejes, what you describe sounds like Euro market Ultra Grip performance winter tires.
Quite possibly Goodyear imports one size for police interceptor model.
