I've run 4 of these so far "rockauto sale" and they are identical build to motorcraft with the exception of the silicone adbv and these are dated f10e14f1

that was a much older purolator filter they were built totally different back then i used them all the time. I stopped buying them when all their Issues came into play. They went from a good/ok filter to something i stopped using on any engine i built.

As there's no date code listed with the OP's filter, at this point no definitive conclusion can be reached as to when the topic G7 was made.

What can be said is that the G7 jobber filter is still being made, and this anecdote looks to have done it's job for the 6k mile oci.

Thanks for the pics.

Yep, missed the date code in second follow up post to the OP. Now whether said production date is before, after or during the tear anecdotes, won't speculate. 'In my observation,' seems to be subjective depending on point being made.

I do know for a fact that the early and most often posted tear anecdote was manufactured well before said third quarter 2013 production, 2009 to be exact. And many/most on the Puro tear spreadsheet come from 2010-2013, also before this manufacture date.

Be that as it may, doesn't change that this anecdote appears to have gotten the job done for the 6k fci.

I'm going to be running car quest blues on it next since they are made by baldwin they are wire backed and look to be synthetic media

I haven't parsed use between diesel, automotive, etc and so forth and so on. Not important to me.

A definitive sounding statement was made that this G7 was made before the tear anecdotes. The response info with spreadsheet indicates that generally not to be the case. That was the point, in case missed.

But bottom line as always, don't like em, don't use em. Lots of alternatives. Not rocket science.
