Do they make a tool that can fit on a drill to install these particular ground anchors? Bought them at Tractor Supply. My grandmaw just got a new central AC and Im trying to set it up so I can strap it down for a hurricane.

Yes , they make a tool for that . A lot of time they come with the anchors . Did you ask for the adapter when you bought the anchors ?

I always assumed a short bar and a lot of work. Not sure if wetting the ground would help or not. Maybe driving a prybar down first, like a pilot hole, so as to make sure there isn't a rock or ledge in the way?

I screwed a bunch of these in horizontal on a pond bank this spring. Get a 5/16" or so " 6" long threaded eye, chuck it in a hammer drill and bolt the two together. Easy peasy.

do it by hand ,you will have a better sense of the resistance and thus the holding power once its in ,your wrist will thank you
