Rain and snow, more like sleet.
Snow melted as it hit the ground, but winter is definitely here.
Changed rear brake pads on Isuzu yesterday, just in time.

Where was that heat when I was there in August? I froze my buns off in LA.

We are at the end of a cold streak (4C this morning), with the weather forecasting mid teen highs and some single digit lows. We went from summer to what's felt like late fall almost overnight.

The same thing happened here in Toronto. On Friday we hit a record high of 31C but then on the weekend it struggled to reach daytime highs of 15! And the overnight temps have been in the single digits. I hate the end of summer, it is always like a light switch!

I'm not going to miss the hotter than - summer we had!

Me either! I want snow like we had last year, three 25 inch storms. [censored], give me 6 of those, I'm dying to drag the Jeep out of the garage.

You are so lucky...It's still miserable here in the low 90's and very humid with alot of showers around which makes it even more humid.

I have to imagine a week off from equinox, he's getting 12 hour days like everyone else.

Coworker used to live in Girdwood, outside Anchorage, was not hopelessly snowbound. Would be 0'F and dry for weeks then warm up to 40'F just in time for rain and fog off the ocean.

As for as I'm concerned it can snow on Christmas Eve so we can say, gee, ain't that pretty. Then on January 1 I'm ready for spring.

I HATE WINTER. Give me 12 months of spring.

Other than always leaving at 6:30 wearing a sweater I have to carry home at 4, I love this time of year. The cool weather is great and those snap highs give you that last taste of summer.

Seems like 3 weeks or so. I miss red leaves and Indian summers of the Lower 48. Last Friday strong winds kicked in, and leaves were like yellow confetti flying around. Trees still have leaves on, but they are dropping fast.
Sun is up at about 7:30-ish in the morning and sets at about 6:30-ish in the evening, but we are loosing 8-10 minutes of light every day.
