Man, they have a lot of stuff in there, I was looking around for hours- trying to find a good flavor to try in the Zed. Settled on going to Wal-Mart and getting 6 quarts M1 0w-40, 1 quart Rotella T6 5w-40 (They didn't have a 7th quart of Mobil.)

Woulda gone with German Castrol, but the Zed will see limited miles, it would be a waste to spend the extra dough for GC or Motul.

I think next time, I may even try something not necessarily approved by BMW, like Castrol w/Titanium. I know I ran SSO Amsoil 0w-30, and Rotella T 5w-40 for over 10k each in my '01 SLK MB with no problems.

Is that a 21st Century cool in US to finally call the last letter of the alphabet Zed? We've come a long way with O'Bama..

OP may have had in mind the 1997 movie Men in Black, where Rip Torn's character was named "Chief Agent Zed".

MiB is a very enjoyable movie, by the way, for anyone who may not have seen it.

Or he could have had in mind that many English speaking nations pronounce Z Zed, rather than Zee as Americans do.

At the link above, provided by the OP, the retailer references BITOG in the Castrol 0W30 section and repeatedly refers to the oil as "GC", a terminology that seems to have originated here.

Don't worry, Oz has dropped "sulphur" for "sulfur", so it's flowing both ways.

350Z, or 280ZX does naturally sound better in the Queen's English.

I think it's TGUK's fault.

"I've got a camaro zed twenty-eight with a broken rev counter".

Maybe oilgasm should be added to the [censored] list, not because it's offensive, but because it's so [censored] stupid.
