Looks ok, appears new style production as media seems thin.

I just see no reason to go with an Ultra over a Tough Guard anymore.
The wire backed synthetic media was what made the Ultra the Ultra in my mind.
Metal endcaps is the only real difference between a Ultra and TG now days, and I prefer the fiber endcaps over the metal.

The price difference is so small for the Hyundai filters it doesn't matter to me, we're talking less that a dollar.

Yep, new date code, more pleates and can't see any wire backing through the center tube holes. Doesn't look bad though.

Just put a Fram Titanium 4386 on the lady's 98 Camry... OG Fram Ultra like on there. Got a Fram fill synthetic oil and that Fram Titanium for $28 and that includes tax. Not too shabby.

The Titanium was out maybe about a year before the Ultra went non-wire backed media. you can look on The Way Back Machine and see when the Titanium was first introduced.

This might have been mine.. glad to see it gets a clean bill of health.

I'll have to check but I may have a Supertech filter lined up next and maybe a Tough Guard ready to go. I definitely keep up on the changes. Keeping things clean.
