Fram Titanium

I hope this helps:

IIRC there is a FRAM representative on this forum, so I'd like to say this:
I like the idea of the Titanium. Make the can from a thicker metal so it doesn't easily bend / crush and add a plastic heat shrink wrap around the filter or at least around the top so no dirt gets into it while on the shelves (people open the boxes) and I'm sold. Otherwise it looks like a decent filter.

No thanks !

Do you realize

What you said makes no sense

Nobody in there right mind is gona pay $15 bucks for filter at Advance Auto when they can buy a real Fram XG at Walmart for $9 dollars or a Mobil 1 for $11
Wake up !!!

If AAP combos this filter Fram Titanium say with Mobil 1 EP for 35.99 ... That actually is cheaper than Walmart... $11 Mobil 1 oil filter and Mobil 1 EP for $28... Or if Mobil 1 EP is on sale for $25.58.... then the price is equal between the two...

Right now AAP has a Mobil 1 oil filter and Mobil 1 EP deal for $35.99 right now. That actually is not too bad.

That's an IF

We're talking about filter price vs filter price

$15 bucks vs $9 bucks

Which one you gona buy from ?

I run a Fram Ultra for two OCI's (4K to 5K miles ea.) then call it a day ... Drops my price down to $4.00 for the Fram Ultra - I could probably get an additional OCI out of it and it would still be good .

According to the ex-Fram representative on this site - Fram Ultra is good for over 30k miles, but at that point (excluding us, the southeners) rust becomes an issue. It is a metal canister after all...

I would strongly suggest you run it for at least 1 additional OCI.

Just saw these at AAP, I noticed the Fram site has a discrepancy listing the Force @98+% vs box @99%
Left - Titanium / Right - Force

Strange that the Titanium box doesn't show the efficiency %. But they do show the ISO 4548-12 testing reference statement (flagnote).

Fram probably just rounded 98+% to 99% on the box for the Force.

Fram needs to hire some better box text reviewers, lol.
