Fords are boring!

For a bunch of them, you can't go wrong using a motorcraft filter and MC 5W-20. Where's the fun in that?

Actually that is just for the USA....If you check out the specs for identical cars in other countries they often times use a different weight of oil...

The fun is in spending 2.77 a quart for an excellent oil. Ha! Zing!

I just got lucky and scored 34 qts of MC full synthetic for $2.95 a quart! But yea, mostly using the same boring MC filters.

In most of the modular engines ford builds here in the U.S. they like 5w20
where do they prefer other weights?

Some of the older modulars originally specd for 5w30 were back spec'd to use 20 weight.

I believe the newer Shelby's run a 50 weight

the older mod motors took 5w30, 2001 and up take 5w20. the Ford GT Supercar and Shelby GT500 take 5w50. What is required in other countries is beyond my scope of responsibility for knowledge.
