+1

Ford should let anyone buy the Crown Vic and not just fleets while its still on the market.

Because Ford "manned-up" and made some hard decisions before it was too late, they are getting lots of respect now. Hopefully the other 2 will pay attention.

Well I am glad for both GM and Ford.
I don't care about the bailout or loan whatever you want to call it.
14% up for GM and 77% increase for the Malibu is good news. Some folks forget the can't keep the Equinox and Terrain on the lot the Malibu is a very nice car.

Ford and GM are offering 1000 dollar cash back if you trade in a toyota. so maybe that will spark some more sales.

Yeah and Honda, (who isn't using the rebates on toyotas) saw their sales for January drop 8%. So much for this helping Honda. Ah well at least somebody profited from it.

Last Jan are net was 100.00 dollar on the whole.....this Jan we were up 100 %.... Thas means we made nothing..... A good book to read is how to lie with statistics.....

Toyota's sales from LAST January are even worse, which is telling. Ford sales might be up from last january, but toyota managed to do WORSE than last years abysmal sales. Oh yes, Ford Surpassed Toyota as the US #2 automaker, behind only GM which is showing no sign of losing that lead anytime soon.

Good for them. But you can't hide the fact that sales of all major manufacturers were up EXCEPT Toyota, and Honda.

Edit: Oh wait sorry, forgot chrysler sales were down 8% too.

I don't have a farm to bet, but I would be willing to bet some hard earned cash that they take the #1 spot. At the moment they are making IMO the best vehicles of any of the automakers. JMO

I don't think Ford is concerned about being #1 any longer, they are just looking to make a solid profit even if that comes with lower volumes.

Ford is on a roll...and will continue. They are the only domestic I would consider trading my Toyota in on. GM...well the jury is still way out.

Ford took no bailouts. Which is why they are doing so well.

I am pulling for Ford and the other two of the Big Three.....
