Duratec3.0 7500mi OCIs Maxlife Blend 5w20 90%+ hwy

Am I crazy for doing this? This is the 2003 Mazda Tribute. I've used M1 filters but I'm out and will switch to Motorcraft

90 percent high way I can see it not hurting anything with a syn blend. I think the manuel states that you can run 7500 on dino(most do)

If its mostly stop and go I would run full syn.

I have this engine in a Sable. I have been doing 8,000 mile oil changes with PP 5W20 and Motorcraft filters for over 60,000 miles.
It's clean inside and runs like new.

It's probably not a problem for the motor. I run past my 5000 OCI all the time on white bottle Valvoline (just switched to Maxlife). My Duratec is still the cleanest engine I've ever had at 100,000 miles.

The driver on the other hand, if you're like me, it may cause anxiety.

IMO....with 7500 OCI's....a better choice would be a Purolator PureOne.

but I think the Motorcraft will do the job.
