543 Southern Artery, to be exact. Very close to Stop and Shop, and Father Bill's Homeless Shelter. I used to live 5 miles away from there. And I also have been to there. TINY the way they shove seating to the side, isn't it? Good memories, Quincy Mass DD.

Also is a McDonalds close to it...

Knew a former UH Football player from San Diego played with June Jones, ate for breakfast snacks donuts, patries, manapua, pork hash and rice cakes. Given free from costumers..sponsors.

Gain 50 lbs so he quits his white collar job and works for a landscaping company miminal wages. Doesn't need the money really financially set. Work 6 hours in the sun ate but veggie salads, fruits, yogurt, stir fry(no red meat) and drank 2 gallons of water(sun heat)daily. Exhausted as heck but stuck with it for 8 months. Lost 40 lbs.

Says he feels great...no more goodie snacks. Does a lot of yard work, owns 3 homes. Now he understand what a machete is.

I've noticed for some years now that the Dunkin Donuts not far hardly has any business. Most times it's empty of customers, I don't know how they stay open.
We don't do donuts often but when we do, we go to a little family own/ran donut place. Get there early and still get fresh warm donuts and quality made. They always have customers and there is a reason for it. Just good donuts and all kinds of them. Friendly service and good coffee's. So we don't do donuts often, but when we do, we know where to get em. We also have another place but further away. Another family business for over 50 years. So we have two donut places to consider.
Now I'm going to have to go next weekend and get some frigg'n donuts.

Exactly how I feel. There's very little resemblance of what it was ~15 years ago and the character of it and the food really has no appeal anymore. The coffee, donutes, and menu used to be really good--a long time ago.

I haven't been there in quite a while, but the egg bagels are just about the only thing I'd touch there if I were to visit next time.

We no longer have the egg bagels..
Nor the onion bagels..
Nor any kind of "Cheese danish" (Closest thing is coffee roll)

Oddly enough, I have never had a customer ask for a Pumpernickel bagel (one of my favs.)
^ Which is good, because we don't have.

I hope somebody laid hands on this guy in a painful way.

Unfortunately, they never got him. The cameras in that area are pointed at the register, not the window, so they never got a clear view of his face. The girl described him to the police, but its hard to track him down without a license plate. Its pretty sad that people would do something like that to a 19 year old girl over a coffee.

I'll go to Panera's for whole grain bagels. Surprinsingly good esp sliced and double toasted. Then put a little butter on them. Half the time I go there they are sold out of these while all the other flavors are full. I went in there one morning 30 minutes after they opened and some maiperbee bought up the entire stock.

I will have a doughnut occasionally, but even that no longer tastes all that great to me. Gobs of empty calories with no staying power. DD coffee is still ok though, which is odd, since I generally prefer stronger coffee, like Starbucks. Usually though I just brew coffee at home, and only buy coffee when traveling. Once in a while as a treat.

Once I had coffee from some place called "Sheetz" IIRC and I have to say, the coffee was aptly named. I felt sick afterwards, it turned my stomach in funny ways. Pilot wasn't much better, but it's been a while.

I've always thought Dunkin Donuts coffee was sort of a lowest common denominator type. Pretty bland and inoffensive, and unless you specify that you only want a little bit, they put a ton of sugar and creamer in it. I think Wawa, Sheetz, etc have really done the best job of bridging the gap between pricey stuff like Starbucks and the less expensive, single-brew offereings from DD, McDs, etc.

The donuts I've always liked, whatever means of production they use now doesn't seem to hurt 'em. A plain old glazed or boston creme is great. Yes all the comments about how donuts aren't healthy are spot on (it's so obvious I'm not sure it's even worth pointing out, unless the real motive is to show how learned and health-conscious the person is) but they are a fun occasional treat.

I only go there if I have a gift card and even then it takes awhile to use up, why?:

a) the coffee is mediocre at best and overpriced
b) the donuts as already mentioned are stale, small, dry and
tasteless

In this area DD is on every corner. Their marketing budget must be HUGE as major sponsors of the Red Sox and Patriots. They seem to be coasting on former glory, while the product suffers.

It's very sad to realise that there is actually a significant percentage of the population that is both insane and sociopathic at the same time.

The employer really should have had a simple camera outside for the drive through. Low res cameras are easily able to capture license plates and are cheap as dirt these days.

I used to love DD as a kid in Upstate NY. However, moving to the south, they aren't around here everywhere like they are up north. Went in one about 6 months ago for the first time in a few years, and I had to stand there for 5 minutes trying to finf the DONUTS on the menu! AND, come to find out, they aren't fresh, they're frozen, made off site. They don't taste the same. They aren't as soft. It's a sad day. DD has gone from Dunkin Donuts, to Dunkin Coffee Shop & donuts too

And I wish for the corporate death of KK daily. They got close a couple eyars back, lets hope the market finishes them off.

After giving up coffee for about 6 months due to health reasons I decided to start again. I had been making my own iced coffee - dark roast coffee with a bit of creamer and a tad of caramel in the bottom.

I stopped at Dunkin Donuts and they gave me the Diabetes special. I wanted to go buy a meter and see how high my sugar was after that! There was literally a QUARTER INCH of sugar in the bottom. Not sure why as I only asked for cream and caramel ...

I couldn't even drink the coffee it was so sugary.

I find KK doughnuts to be like the proverbial lead sinker, they are greasy, and heavy with none of the qualities of a really good bakery doughnut from your local mom and pop bakery. I tried them a few times and they were consistently bad.
