Discovery 3 2.7 tdv6 oil reccomendations

Hi there all. From the UK and have a 2008 discovery 3 with the 2.7 tdv6 ford lion under the bonnet. Currently sat at 134k miles and has been run on Quantum 5w-40 plus mixed with Archoil AR9200 up to this point.

I'm sure this topic has been beaten to death but I'm after the best quality oil possible for this engine with the best anti wear package and highest HTHS ratings.

I've looked at redline 0w-40 and 5w-40. They have HTHS ratings of 4.0 and 4.4 respectively but are on the pricey side.

Best price to performance, all out best oil etc. Looking to go from a 5w-30 to a 0w-40 or a 5w-40.

I do a lot of towing with the vehicle and engine preservation is key to me. I change the oil every 6k miles on average.

Go find Fuchs Titan GT1 Flex 3 5w40. Can be picked up as cheap as £30 for 5 litres and has a wide array of approvals including the very stringent VW 511 & Porsche C40.

But no oil is going to stop that thing from snapping it's crank!

Oh, and drop the additives.
