My cousin, on the farm, back in Nebraska has cases of them. He has many vehicles on his farm that need oil/filters, I belive around 16 vehicles, including tractors, trucks, and other vehicles. I know that Baldwin is made in Kearney, but I have not used on either.

All the M1 filters I've dissected in the past had the appearance of very high quality. However, it's been some time. With outsourcing and the current corporate cost cutting model of doing business these days, who knows what's been compromised today. Even underwear wears out twice as fast as stuff you use to buy 10 years ago.

they figure they're doing you a favor, the underwear will be out of style anyways.

Anyone ever cut open a Baldwin filter? or have thoughts on them?

The only Baldwin filter that I have cut open was not an oil filter. It was a coolant filter I run on a remote mount bypass I installed on my cooling system. I can say of all the filters I have ever cut open, this one had the highest level of construction quality that I have seen so far.

Just so you can quantify this, this is the manufacturers I have cut open so far -

Supertech ( champ )
Champ ( white can champ )
fram
motorcraft
purolator
baldwin - coolant filter

all other were oil filters
