Dave was always one of my favorite drivers. He was also one of Dale SR's best friends. Haven't watched your video, but will in the morning.

Dale Sr. valued Marcis’s opinion regarding handling and race setup as Marcis would “shake down” the number 3 car often. Personally I found that odd because Marcis rode a lot in the rear of the field. If Marcis knew how a top 5 car should handle, why wasn’t he more of a contender? I’m sure Childress or Hendricks could spare a competitive engine for him. Marcis was said to have “the widest car on the track” because he would drive more so to keep from getting lapped.
