Hi-As my wife and I were out and about yesterday she said she'd been looking at the Honda Crosstour on the internet so we stopped at a dealership, drove one and then I came home and did a search. I found almost uniform negative comments and reactions to primarily the looks of the vehicle. It did drive very well for us, looked at the 4wd model, and fit and finish were good. Many of the comments compared it's looks to the Aztec!!
Anyone have experience with these vehicles, own one, any comments?? Thanks. Bill

In my limited experience, I found the rearward vision to be incredibly poor. Between the huge C-pillars, headrests, and bar running aross the rear glass, I couldn't see a thing behind me.

I would look into something like a Pilot before the Crosstour. Outside of the Crosstour looks (which are polarizing), I think a true SUV offers a bit more than a puffed-up hatchback-sedan.

UGLY, poor access to cargo and rear visibility. I can say the same thing about the BMW X6 and 5-series GT, the two cars which Honda ripped off of... at least as it appears.

I thought all of the aforementioned cars were a knockoff of the Jaguar XF, but anyway, I like the looks of the Crosstour.

If I were in the market for a Honda (and I won't be before Hades freezes over), I would get the Crosstour.

Try taking a look at the Ford Flex and edge, and the GMC Acadia, Chevy Equinox. I am not a fan of the Crosstour at all, it's ugly as sin. And it's not even because I'm a domestic guy, I like the new Accord, but the Crosstour is just.... No.

It looks like a pregnant whale but if it has 'traditional' Honda reliability, who cares. When I say 'traditional' Honda reliability I mean the 80's and 90's because Honda has gone downhill in the last 10 years...especially in regard to automatic transmissions.
If I were in the market for a new car it would be a Ford or a Hyundai.

What is it with all of Honda's new designs being ugly as sin? The last gen Accord was so sharp looking, and they completely ruined it with the new design. The interior is poorly designed (especially on the LX/EX that doesn't have electronic climate control or NAV - Do the SEEK buttons for the radio really need to be 3"), and none of the lines on the outside match up. It literally looks like 3 different design teams independently did the front end, back end, and side profile and then they slapped them together.

I think it's kinda ugly, but for some reason I don't mind the Acura ZDX. That being said, I think I'd buy the Venza before either of those if I was looking for that type of vehicle. What about a Subaru Outback?

I dont like the front end. But the view from the rear qtr is nice. Looks to be about as useful as a smaller station wagon without the look.

The new Edge is pretty sharp for '11 as well.

I'm glad the automakers are bringing back the wagon and awd option in many popular cars.

The sleek designs however, in these new vehicles, takes away much utility they were originally made for.

That is the ugliest vehicle I've seen since the original Aztec. My guess is that residuals will suffer due to its looks. Consider carefully before you lay out your hard-earned bucks for that one.

Don't think I like the looks, but my wife loves it. I say you go with what you like. And if money doesn't matter or resale value (I keep my cars past that mattering) then go for it. Buy what you want, not what others want for you.

Exterior Appearance really doesn't bother me, as it is purely subjective. On paper, the Accord Crosstour is a car that makes a lot of sense because it gives you hatchback utility with a slight increase in cargo room compared to the Accord.

For some of us, we would like a vehicle with the spaciousness and ride comfort of an Accord, but need the extra cargo room periodically--and I think the Crosstour fills this void in the market quite nicely. I looked at one at the dealer and found the interior fit and finish to be on-par with other offerings in the same price range. The reviews have all said that the vehicle's refinement is better than the current Accord, which is what I am looking for.

With the incentives, a base model is selling for 26k right now, which is on the higher side of my budget. However, this car may just fit my needs and I will be giving it a serious consideration as I begin to do serious car shopping in the next few months.

That is the most disgusting car Honda has ever made.
Usually Toyota makes the ugly ducklings, but Honda failed so miserably on that one. It is one of the few cars I see on the road that just makes my eyes bleed.

The Cross tour is like what the Pontiac Aztec was. Remember the Aztec was ugly but rode and handled very well and had a lot of versatility. The cross tour is also ugly, but I bet is has a lot of utility and rides nice.

I think I'd skip it and pick something a little nicer looking because ugliness will also hurt resale.

Blech. I looked at one and was not impressed. Our Fit has more cargo room and looks better. Plus the fuel economy for it is horrible.

I'd skip it and look at a CR-V if you want Honda. Lots of other choices if you want to look at other brands.

I think that the Fit looks like a toy and I would never buy one.

I like the fact that the Crosstour has a V6 and AWD. Does the Accord get AWD?

If you like it, its your decision to make. But, I think I'd take a Venza(6cyl can tow 3500lbs) on looks alone. And, consider an Outback or Forester too.

I'm no Hondacura fan boy but I do see what they are trying to do with the Crosstour. And, I've seen plenty on the road already so its working.

I know hobbyists that put Aztecs to use as it was a functional vehicle for the few.
