The VOAs tell...a story, which was the crux of my question.
Virgin Oil Analysis just recently completed, CK4 formula purchased a couple months ago.
Figured I'd share, an updated VOA from one I saw while lurking last year.
On paper, looks decent enough but in the flesh, it's really a nice oil. Actually smells kind of sweet, like candy, and it hushes up some of the extra klicks and klacks of my Cummins 6.7 I get while running conventional Delvac 1300.
I'll toss up some low-mileage oil change analysis in the other boards.
Such a great site, figured I'd give a little something back.

New to the forum but have stalked in the background for years-- good info here.
Here's a voa on some Delvac Extreme 15W40 that I run in a 1LW 3406 cat--pretty severe service unit in oilfield grossing 120-130k pretty consistently with 250 hour OCI that's happening monthly. I'll be following up with some UOA so we can see how this Delvac Extreme synthetic shapes up.
Anybody care to offer any feedback on this oil or suggest something better?Thought about HPL but for that price, I'll just run the cheaper and change monthly-- even though I'm a fanatic about maintenance...

You're a salty fellow, especially for someone asking others for advice, help, input. I'm surprised that other members have been so patient with it (so far). Keep it up and eventually you'll abuse these guys good will one time too many.
