Cloning a Lexus key

No bueno with the Walmart scheme I cooked up, it wouldn't recognize a chip in the new key. So I did what a poster suggested, went to Ace Hardware and was done with it for $50. Even that was a bit of a chore as one wanted me to make an appointment (really?) and another said he couldn't do it for liability reasons after saying yes on the phone. Finally, a 3rd Ace did it without excuses.

Always get the keys/remote you want or tell the dealer to take off $300 for your future trouble...not going through this again, ever.
