I have googled and YouTubed looking for clear instructions as to how to change the Transmission Fluid in a JD X300. It may be a bigger
project than I want to tackle but I wanna get the fluid changed for someone who doesn't have the money to go to a dealer. I'm cheap!!

Do you have any 6th grade level instructions with pics and/or video?

Thanks!

you have to pull the transmission and invert it IIRC.

While its out you can add drain plugs fairly easily iirc.

What oil are you using.. Castrol 5w50 was popular.

Rand, I don't know how to pull the transmission out. I will be using Amsoil Hydrostat Oil.

can you do something like

I'll be doing this transmission service on my 2011 X320 soon. I might pick up a jug of the JD branded fluid because I don't need a pail of the stuff. IMO any synthetic fluid that meets both J20 C&D is the best for summer lawn and winter snow blower use.
