I think it's all going to add up to a big financial disappointment for people who buy these things. And the CMP had better be very careful. If they establish themselves as con artists, because people are complaining about what they're getting for what they are paying, they'll have a very difficult time trying to dig themselves out of that perception. Reputations once damaged, are hard to change. Especially with gun people. Look at Cheaper Than Dirt.

Okay, what happened with Cheaper Than Dirt?

They got a reputation for becoming rip off artists by raising their prices to crazy high levels after the 2008 election. And were price scalping things like Hi-Cap magazines and such. Word is that a lot of shooters boycotted them because of it. Now supposedly their sales have been hurt badly. No one knows for sure, as they're still around. But for a while you were hard pressed to go on any gun forum and not read something negative about them.

And that's actually pretty good..... For them. They are feeling the same overstocked problem the rest of the distributors are feeling. Eventually they'll HAVE TO reduce prices to much more competitive levels, in order to move all the stuff they stockpiled to the roof, anticipating another run on guns, magazines, and everything else. All because they picked the wrong winner in the Presidential race. Like many did.

So, why don't they lower prices now?

They may be waiting on the winds to change.

But as long as idiots will pay it, they will sell it.
They were better when they cost more.
