Champion Labs Filter Media?

Everyone here seems to like filters made by Champion Labs. On the minimopar oil filter study however, he seemed to not like them because of fragile paper media. Anyone have an opinion about that and why the consensus on this website is that they are in fact good filters?

Also, are the regular AC Delco duragaurd filters still the best $3 filter out there? I of course like the Mobil 1 filters, but come one, $12 for a freakin oil filter is highway robbery!

Until the recent discovery of Purolators with cardboard endcaps, I was going to say the Premium Plus filter is one of the better $3 filters. But now the AC Delco is better than this. Although I do believe the Supertech filter (made by Champion too and sold at Walmart) is superior, and even cheaper ($2)
