Carquest Oil Filters on Rockauto Wholesale Closeout

Thank you for the deal! I just picked up 43 oil filters for my Avalon and the wife’s IS350. Dont sleep on the air filter/cabin air filter deals. I snagged the last remaining (of clearance stock in the brand) cabin air filter for the Lexus at $5.30 (vs $57.99 at Wal-Mart). I’m assuming the lone $.91 Fram Titanium was a great bargain for a good filter? I have no experience with that line… just the orange cans and the smooth gold “FPS” line.

Batch received made in India. My experience tells me they're re-branded purolator tech filters.

Got several different CQ filters. The R85394(MP)s show the telltale PG "Leak tested", so, win there! Thanks again OP.

I've been buying some "Famous Brand" parts from RockAuto closeout section for a couple of months now.
This included a brand new distributor and a new alternator for $29 each. Both were Carquest.
RockAuto may not show the exact brand of what they are selling, but sometimes it's in the picture.
If they don't do that, run the part number and put "Carquest" behind it in a Google search.
It usually appears as a valid Carquest part number.

Here’s my haul. My CarQuest oil filters (size 84047) were made in (South) Korea.

All the parts I received were fresh Carquest/AAP stock. Filters were Premium Guards with the silicone anti-drainback valve.

My first order was quite large and I came up with three filters worthy of return: two dented cans and a cartridge filter (and box) that looked like it had been handled extensively by VERY dirty hands. The latter was probably fine but I'm not gonna risk someone's engine over that, esp for ~$1.28

I went through the process (quick) and just selected store credit. They don't want the three filters back. Lately it seems I do 3+ orders per week with RA so store credits get gobbled up almost immediately.

Received my order today. 9ea Carquest Premium Blue 84502 Premium Guard made in Vietnam. 1ea STP S10590 Premium Guard made in China. All are fresh 2024 dated.
