You made me curious, so I took everything out of the trunk and looked. Undercoating was reapplied as was factory looking seam sealer.

Looks good and it doesn't seem like it's welded in, but rather glued in with the structural adhesive. Better than welds a IMO for something like this.

It's welded in, seam sealer goes on top of it all.

Surprised at how good of repair your body shop performed. You did better than most on this occurrence. If you keep the vehicle for years down the road the pain will be greatly mitigated. Thumbs up for you sir.
