This truck is run local local short haul 20 miles each way no idle time,I have not changed the oil yet. However I did spin on 2 new donaldson blue filters (dbl3998) and topped off with 2 gallons of schaeffer9k (total 3 gal added in 30k) bc insolubles at .5%. This truck has 241k on the detroit 12.7 factory reman,it has an amsoil eapb120 bypass on it since this 30 k oil run began. The 38 and 41k run was rotella t6. I am running a similar setup on 3 trucks and I am still early in my research. Lets call these uoa "green truck ". At a later date i will
Post a different truck "red truck "is how I will refer to it . red truck has 1m70k miles,and lives the exact life green truck does, however the red truck did not have the long Rotella T6 oil interval on paper red truck looks a lot better than green truck
I would love to hear thoughts on this uoa questions or suggestions im all for it!
Over about 6000 gallons used on Schaeffer oil 2 trucks have increased mpg by .4-.5
