Buzzing Noise!

When the car is at about 2000rpm the exhaust(passenger side) buzzes, it gets annoying when i downshift. any one know wat i can do?

For what it's worth, I have heard a similar noise on several of my family member's vehicles. It was noted to be coming from the heat shield on the catalytic converter, which had simply been tack welded in place. With the high levels of heat generated, the integrety of the welds seems to be compromised rather quickly in comparison to the rest of the unit.
