Broke down and bit the bullet. Got a 2011 Civic.

Unfamiliar with Accord.
The change points are largely the same with manual trans vehicles in general. They're on the outside of the trans facing the drivers side front wheel. I usually don't take the wheel off and just go from below. I add fluid via a funnel with a 2-3' section of clear rubber hose attached. (from above)

One of the plugs is 17MM and the other is 3/8" drive.

Yep that sounds about the same! I'm showing my lack of knowledge with sticks lol Been quite awhile. Mine shifts ok though 3rd seems..."loose" compared to other gears. I'm sure that isn't the fluid though. I may try the Amsoil though..it sounds good! Does Royal Purple put out a Manual Transmission fluid?

I'd try the Amsoil fluid Goose! (and you know me I'm not a fan boy of much)

In my Corolla I changed the factory fluid to a worst fluid and after that to the Amsoil and felt the difference right away.

After 200,000+ miles that SAME fluid is still working great! I'm going to change it out since I do have some older Amsoil in the stash and I got my $$ worth out of current fill.

But the fluid is a TOP performer.

Hey Bill! Good to hear you!

Which Amsoil should I be looking at?

The Synthetic Manual Synchromesh Transmission Fluid (MTF) or

Synthetic Manual Transmission and Transaxle
Gear Lube 75W-90 API GL-4 (MTG)

Thanks!

I've been running the Severe Gear 75W-90 in the Corolla but it looks like in your Honda its calling for Manual Synchromesh Transmission Fluid 5w30. (MTF)

Check with Pablo but Amsoil is pretty good with their recommendations.

Good to hear from you! Glad all is well.

Take care, Bill

You need the MTF for sure.
