Rockauto has good prices on the Akebono pads. Google for the 5% discount code as well.
Many of problems with ceramic pads can be linked to using poor quality aftermarket rotors that cannot withstand the pads. If formulated for the exact application, their performance should be comparable to that of semi-metallic pads and should deliver even better rotor/pad life with less dust. In addition, some ceramic pads are better than others. The Raybestos ones seem to fulfill the long life, low dust promise, but falls a bit short as far as performance goes. I've never heard a complaint about the Akebono pads. Akebono seems to have produced a formulation that does not compromise braking performance (in fact, users often report improved performance) yet still delivers low dust, noise, and long life.
You may want to seriously consider throwing on some new rotors as TLs are notorious for rotor warping. You may end up with good pads and warped rotors 10k miles down the road...just keep that in mind.
