Anyone know anything about it? There aren't any BP stations for like 200 miles around here, so does anyone know if they sell it at their local station, and want to pick up a bottle for analysis?

It's sold at many BP stations in this area.

Did they start bottling the stuff leaking from the gulf?

I took it as that was what simple gifts was implying with his post above.

The Gulf thing will do in this company (BP) , or they will rename it to be able to continue operations

Yep, I've seen it at BP gas stations as well.

BP have always made oils,I'm surprised to see no mention of it on these forums.Their first synthetic was Visco 5000,which came out in the early '90's,and was sold as a Duckhams oil too.I was under contract to use BP oils in my bulk tanks, and used Visco 3000 and C3 for diesels. But then they said I wasn't a bulk consumer and stopped supplying me....so I used Pennzoil and Fuchs form then on.BP do a full range of oils, all of them very good.

+1

BP closed its last service station here about five years ago. I do recall a local, mom and pop store (that went under) carrying a BP oil called "Viscus" IIRC. The bottle was a darker green and it seemed like any other oil as far as specs...

I've been calling it Busted Pump for years.
Never can find one fully working the first try. Usually printer jammed or whatever.
I just don't go there anymore. Sick of it.
