On the UOA's blackstone labs sends back, sometimes they mention in the comments section what mileage the Universal Averages are based on. But if they don't do this (which is common) then I can't find where they post this information on the sheet. Does anyone know where they put this at?
If they don't put the info anywhere except occasionally in the comments, why not? What I'm talking about is when Blackstone says "these universal averages are based on a run on 4,500 miles [for this specific vehicle]". This allows me to put the wear numbers reported into a context based around the averages, for that exact vehicle, for a specific amount of miles and then judge the UOA results based on that. This is important to me as every car is so different as far as how hard it is on an oil and the resultant numbers it produces.
Is there a reason Blackstone doesn't just have a column where they include this mileage number? I find it frustrating to read UOA's that don't have this information for us to put numbers into a proper context.
Another thing I would love to see from a UOA would be a column from the numbers given for your UOA that would extrapolate out your numbers for your mileage to the given numbers for the Universal Averages mileage or vice-versa, for a more direct and easy to understand A-B comparison.
I hope that makes sense, as I'm not sure I worded this all correctly to get my point across. Oh and it's not like this would be hard, they could use some simple formulas in Excel to do them automatically. I could do it myself if Blackstone would just give me the mileage used for that particular cars universal averages numbers.
