I, for one, am happy to see this update - the previous software version was without question the OLDEST forum software I've seen in use anywhere in a long time.

Crazy how people react, isn't it? Seen it many times myself. "OMG...what have you done!!!!???!" They'll get over it.

I think it's amplified here due to prevalence of the Crown Vic demographic, if you know what I mean.

Looks great Wayne!. Thank you for all the time you dedicate this forum! The few little glitches I ran into were taken care of in the setting, I would like to see "my post" back somewhere but no big deal getting to it through user post.

Aside from my prior gripe about the layout, the only real complaint I have is about the size of the text on the forum homepage (i.e. where you can scroll to access the various sub-forums). It seems like the font and size of the text has drastically increased, as has the space between each forum heading/hyperlink.

Zooming out from 100% (default) helps, I can't help but feel its become kinda clunky-looking.

I like the update too.

Still wish we could turn off the "Recent Topics" like we were able to this morning.

The actual content of the post is only 1/2 of my screen

Is there a way to place a line or horizontal border to separate the stickies from the regular posts? They seem to run together now and it's harder to see at a quick glance where the current threads start.

Edit: I figured it out. I switched themes. Thanks for uploading new themes. I am using the Mocha theme and the stickies are clearly defined.

Lol, it's too wide and I can't type, I'd be flipping it over back and forth.

It also then uses about 60% of the screen when sideways.

I gripped about the dumbing down of the web a while back with everything going mobile friendly/desktop crippled.

All the fancy web stuff is not supported on mobile, so they don't bother with it.

A well-designed website should re-format "well" based on the browser you're using, the size of your browser window, the device you're using (computer vs tablet vs phone, etc). Many times certain features are simply disabled or removed and it's on purpose. Sometimes there's technical reasons too and the website operator can't simply add it back in.

This whole site is reactive now, meaning that when you resize your browser, the site will resize correctly. In fact, try narrowing your desktop browser until the left column goes away - that's reactive.

So I have to make my window smaller to make it go away?

This is my full screen view of your post:

And this is how much I have to shrink it to make the left column disappear:

Also, when you quote someone, there is no way to add an image, even if in full edit mode.

I got the pics to load by posting in another thread.

Thanks for adding more colors though, need to look through and see what looks best for me.

Edit: apparently pics are resized in upload. The are supposed to be 1366x768, but are resized to 768x371.
Still, you get the jist of it, everything is just way too big, and the left sided recent topics is horrible. at least when it was on the right we could turn it off.
I say put it back on the right and allow it to be turned off till it can be turned off on the left as well.

Also, still no pic attachment on edit.

There is, just not in this particular subforum.

Ahh, OK.
Now that you say that, I don't think this subforum ever had image attachment abilities???

Thanks for adding all the other themes. I am liking the Ventura-Cobalt right now.

Would like to have My Posts option back if at all possible.

Thanks ... Mocha and Zen aren't too harsh on the eyes. Good job on the software upgrade, seems to have went pretty seamless.

Put me on the list of those that like the upgrade - I view the forum all the time from my smartphone and tablet, and this new responsive design is much easier to use on those devices. Good work!

Yes that works by clicking on the number of posts. Thanks

One thing I notice on my Android phone on this site is that the text in the quotes is much larger than the text of the reply. Makes it hard to use on the phone.

Any way (board setting by Admin) to make the text the same size or the quoted text smaller than the reply text when using a cell phone to browse?
