Arco graphite

I also used it in my modified 1966 Mustang GT. It seemed to work just fine. But I changed oil quite regularly, even back then.

This renders such a test, even more useless!

Best I can describe it was like that black you get off a trans magnet but more dense. Sorry do not remember the mileage this was back in the late sixties. ...
There was no ArcoGraphite in the late sixties. Either that was something else, or it was 10 years later.

I ran Arco Graphite in my '84 CJ-7 for an oil change or two, in Fairbanks, AK. That Jeep leaked oil through practically every joint in the long block--whether that was due to the Arco Graphite, or the -40F ambient temps (hey, it had a battery blanket, and a block heater), only God knows. I moved on from there to other junk additives, like Tuf-Oil and Slick 50, before throwing in the towel on turning my vehicles into perpetual motion machines.

Yes, I had engine oil leaks problems also, but at warm temps. I believe the stout dispersant additives to keep the graphite in suspension were doing a really good job on removing any caked sludges from seals in my case. Previously I used to use old dino SE Shell Super 20w40. It would have stuff to clean.

I used it in my Mazda GLC. Sold it when it was 7 years old, as I was tired of fixing rust. Friend and his wife ran it for many years and maybe 100k more miles. The Mazda mechanic hated the stuff. I had one quart left, which eventually replace the trans oil on my Honda Civic Si. That was one slick shifter. I liked the oil. Tried Mobil One in the Honda. Fouled the plugs of a low mileage engine. Just too thin.

I used it as well. You had to shake the bottle well as the graphite was not in permanent suspension. I was pretty gullible back then and tried just about anything (stp syrup, etc.) that promised performance gains. I also remember trying a crystal clear oil (Cam II?). Quite using that because I couldn't see it on the dip-stick.
