Stopped paying constantly for streaming channels a couple years ago. Now I sign up for one for a month or two, then we cancel and move on to another. We have cycled in and out (some more than once) Netflix, Hulu, Prime, Disney, HBO Max, Paramount+ and we just started Peacock.

Also do Youtube add free - the only one I am willing to pay for continuously it seems.

I have tried Britbox in the past. Wasn't really our thing I don't think.

Any other lesser known ones you like? I see there are many more out there.

Like you, we got rid of most subscriptions except for YouTube Premium. After canceling YouTube TV, we signed up for Hulu+, but haven't really watched it, so will probably cancel it... again.

If you have a Chase Sapphire Reserve card, starting Oct 26th, Apple TV+ is one of the new perks, but you have to specifically sign up for it. It doesn't just automatically start.

We had Apple TV + free for 3 months when we recently got new phones. Like it, but not a ten dollars a month kind of like.
Mrs. Tdbo will do some oddball stuff when Amazon runs Prime Days for like .99/mo. for a couple of months (Britbox, Acorn, Paramount +, etc,) then cancel after the tease rate.
We have YouTube TV and Prime Video all the time.
Free apps we use: Pluto, Plex, Roku Channel, Tubi and Zeam

Peacock and Netflex are our main pay services. Peacock has had some really good movies.
If you never watched the series Resident Alien I would HIGHLY recommend it (Netflex had it but Peacock has all the past and new. You can bing through 4 series. It's really funny, though that can be objective. Since recommending it to family members they can't get enough. (funny)

We do get Paramount+ with Walmart plus at no cost. But can't remember last time we saw anything good on it.
Haystack News app is good for some local news
Fawesome (not a misprint_) is a free movie channel with some pretty good old movies

We too cycle in and out of Apple TV and Prime when the deal is good. Typically around the holidays from Prime.
Just cancelled Hulu plus, it sucked ever since Disney took it over.
We have so much to watch we can't keep track, just between Netflex and Peacock. Peacock has really come out of nowhere and has some good content.

I find the Police Procedurals and mysteries on Britbox such a higher caliber than any thing on American TV. To each his own I guess.

All of the above at one time it another and still couldn't find much worth watching. The wife has us subscribed to Netflix but I usually just watch YouTube fixit and outdoorsmen videos with an ad blocker to remove the ads.

My entertainment mostly consists of reading the news, BITOG and sci-fi and fantasy novels. The last few years I've spent way more of my leisure time with a tablet on a lawn chair under a tree out back.

Reminded me of watching people at the DMV work, and they were always too predictable for my taste.

The only one I liked was "Shetland" but even it got woke in the end.

Some of the foreign crime movies / shows from Germany and the Netherlands I like - they have more of those on Netflix now.

My wife and I really enjoyed Shetland. Also-Trigger Point, Broad Church and Unforgotten were good. Currently watching Bancroft.

I’ve got all the big ones except Max but hardly watch most of them and don’t want to cancel. I like Tubi, The Roku Channel and Pluto TV for free. I’ve also heard good things about FreeVee but never used that one. But these days I’m mostly watching DVD or occasionally one of the paid services or occasionally something on cable or the antenna.
