Its true, with people cutting the cord as we did over a decade ago now, streaming services are creeping up.
Good news is that its easy to circumvent, unlike when people stayed tied to cable or sat.
You don't need to stay tied to any streaming service and there is soooooo much free content and movies anyone can make a decision to pay or not.
They can also learn to actually install an antenna in their attic or roof for all the local major networks with better digital picture than when they had pay TV!
All very simple stuff for people who want to spend their time doing it, many (not people in this forum) people have become used to paying for things they don't need that they think they need.
Our TV consists of Netflix, Hulu = $20 a month. 6 Roku streaming devices for the 6 TV's in our home.
Tons of additional free content, literally 100's ??? Not possible for me to keep track of all the free "stations" movies, shows ect.
100 Mbps service is all that is needed and most likely could get away with 50 Mbps, Sadly we have to pay for 200 Mbps now as that is Spectrums lowest price tier and its not needed, no choice.
All local major networks through attic antenna to 5 TVs in our home in better then pay TV picture quality.
