I was looking for an oil filter and saw Fram had sponsored a package for my application: $32 and a few pennies for an air filter and an oil filter in a package. I looked up the individual prices and saw that the package saved less than a dollar, but a buck's a buck, so that's fine. Where I think things get a little shaky is that Fram is getting a very high price for its air filter, which this package forces on you. Folks buy air filters much less often than oil filters, so I think that they might not bat an eyelash, but this package, with a Fram oil filter and some other decent brand of air filter can be replicated for Low $20s or maybe even a little less.
