Getting ready to have my trans rebuilt by a trans man/mechanic. What fluid would you as a group recommend for this heaving hauling machine.?

Sorry for the info lack. 1995 E-350 Cargo van. 5.8L 173,000 miles Plan on keeping it until I cant make her go anymore

We were debating fluid types. I am adding a higher stall DACCO converter, a Sonnax Sure cure kit, new Friction and steel.

Except for hotrodding (toy cars), I don't understand why you'd want a higher stall converter. Won't it generate significantly more heat? Doesn't seem good for transmission life, especially in a work vehicle. After all, you have a large displacement v8, not a 4 cylinder torqueless wonder.

Calling BuickGN.

The Torque converter is a HIGHER stall over stock, its an RV type convertor. Nothing erratic. Will help with getting it into power band a little sooner.
